The discussion forum is a place for Steve Girls and Barenaked Ladies fans to gather and share information, ideas, stories, and friendship. We realize that with the launch of the web site, we are likely to get an influx of new faces, and want to take this opportunity to lay down a few basic ground rules. This forum is closely moderated, and there are behavioral expectations for community members. There are two basic rules: respect each other, and no spam.

Registration is required to participate. This is to protect the community more than anything else. We realize that there are less-than-savory people out there, and we simply don't have time for them. Trolls are dealt with swiftly and harshly. The thought of Steve may make us a little lightheaded, but it doesn't make us stupid. ;)

Note for existing members and those coming from barenaked.net, bnlmusic, etc.: In an effort to keep our brains from melting by trying to remember mutiple names for the same person across the crockpot, we do ask that you retain some form of your original screen name, at the very least. Thanks.

IMPORTANT: BASIC GROUND RULES BEFORE YOU ENTER

Do Not Post the Following
1. Libelous or slanderous messages, such as posting personal attacks, attacks against BNL as a whole or Steven Page individually, or posting under another user's name and/or email address. This includes dragging dirty laundry from other message board systems.
2. Blatant advertising or "spam" of any kind. This includes pyramid schemes, get rich quick offers, "silent" spamming, or "get paid to surf" programs. Spammers are dealt with immediately.
3. Copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this BB. If you have permission of the copyright holder, please state so in your post.
4. Overtly obscene material or links to obscene material. We're all adults here, but let's keep it fairly clean.
5. Personal information, such as phone numbers and street addresses. Please keep communication to e-mail or private message, for your own protection. Personal information deemed inappropriate by the forum staff will be edited.

Furthermore, planning, inciting, promoting or facilitating illegal activities through the ROSP Forum is strictly prohibited. Items that fit into the above categories, if posted, will be removed from view and if necessary, action may be taken against the poster.
