FAVORITE STEVE MOMENT...
Leilani High Queen Leilani YES East Lansing, Michigan Steve and Ed did a banter about my sign (Barenaked Aptitude --Ed:Steve::bacon:eggs) (Grand Rapids 12/28/01). After the show, when I told him that it was my sign, he thanked me and then sang a variation on the song for me, the way he had planned on doing it on stage, before Ed's participation altered it.

Sue YES Rochester, New York One: When he "ate" my underwear at a show (Syracuse 11/28/01), and told me after the show that they were "Delicious!" Two: When I found out from the Ladies Room that he liked my "got steve?" shirt design, and wanted one (naturally, I sent one!). Three: He liked my quilt! He really liked it! Woo!
TypoAmongUs Grand Dutchess Shelia YES Monroe, Michigan I asked Steve if my shirt scared him because it said sexual things and he said "No, I *liked* it" then he chuckled a bit.

Blommie Ambassador Eileen YES New Jersey I had thought that State College, PA, was alot closer to me than it actually is and got tickets to see BNL at Penn State. After an incredibly long drive that included getting lost, I found I had front row seats. Got to love the Ladies Room. We waited after the show and when Steve came out he was wearing his leather pants and his glasses, which he had not been doing in concert. I decided that I just had to share this info with Kellie in California and called her on my cell phone. When Steve made his way to us, I was still on the phone and put him on with Kellie. He said hi to her and then wanted to take a picture with "all three of us". Whenever anyone sees this picture they always ask, "Why the hell are you on the phone if you were with Steven Page?!"
Audzilla Official Hearniak-In-Residence Audrey no - When Steve tried to throw me a pick in appreciation for my 'This Sign Is For You, Steve' sign. He thanked me, gave me the thumbs up and then tossed a pick at me, but it landed behind the barrier in front of the stage (love him, but he throws like a girl). So just as I was thinking 'Damn! Gonna have to get a security guard to give that to me', I looked up and Steve was about to throw another one to me. He threw it perfectly, and amazingly, I caught it. (Erie, 11/23/01)

He looked at the picture, his eyes got wide, and he said in a surprised voice "No you don't. At least *you* don't have a mustache." His facial expression alone was priceless.

Rach Rock Star Booger Patrol Rachel no Rochester, New York One: My radio station organized a intimate concert with BNL, called "The Barenaked Lunch". I was standing backstage with my friend Scott, and I was stealing glances at the band who was getting ready to go on stage. I looked over at Steven trying not to swoon and he was picking his nose. He caught me looking at him, and tried to hide the fact that he was picking his nose. Ed fell out laughing, and I said to Steven..."Its ok, Rock Stars have boogers too" and we both chuckled... Its was very cool. Two: I was 16 years old and I was at the HORDE Tour, and I was standing behind the crowd at the 2nd stage, and I turned to my right and Steven was standing next to me. I looked to my Best Friend who was on my right and said, "Steven Page is standing next to me", and she said "yeah right" she looked and her jaw dropped... we got his autograph quietly because we didn't want to start a riot. He was so cool, it was a great day. I still have the autograph...I'm such a nerd.
wildflowerr123 Royal Courtier Sam no Scarborough, Ontario, Canada My Home and Native BNL Land - at 14 years old, I attended a concert a Mowat Collegiate (Jim & Andy's Highschool Alma Mater). They weren't famous back then and it was only the two of them before Jim & Andy invited them to their group. But they were handing out little cassette tapes with photocopied labels that had McDonald's Girl on it. He missed giving me one, so I yelled out, "Hey Steve. Where's my souvenir?" And he threw one at me and said, "Don't play it out! We might be famous one day!" And I still have that - and the yellow tape- which they gave out at the Scarborough Civic Centre during one of their concerts. aaaahhh...
